Found differing serial numbers in the SOA records returned for the zone at the namese
ns1.xxx.com is this 1273230450
ns2.xxx.com is this 1207263261

how to sychronice to DNS server
and how to fix and this errors.
The serial number 1207263261 in the SOA record returned by this server is not in the recommended YYYYMMDDnn format.


i have dns server in centos 5.4
and plesk 8

I assume that you have access on both servers. What BIND version they are using?

The serial number can be any integer. all you need to do is increase that number by 1 so that changes are propagated in the DNS hierarchy.

i have in ns1 bind-9.3.3 and ns2 bind-9.3.6

For this to work one of the servers needs to be master and the other slave. You need to increment the serial number on the master and then do a "rndc reload". This will force a zone transfer from master to slave.
